Hi Matthew!
What you and Zap said was right!
Its not very straighforward yet, as it took time before I could start
it, but I managed to make it work. Now that the connection works, it
looks stable. That's awesome news! :-)
So, here are my short term plans:
* Find a procedure that makes USB networking work in a predictable
and reliable way.
* Build a minimum kernel, initrd and linuxrc script that supports
USB networking setup and pivot_rooting to a NFS shared partition
on a GNU/Linux host.
* Write Wiki instructions for anyone to connect his or her h2200 to
a GNU/Linux host through the USB cradle.
* Release a Familiar based image for the NFS partition, implementing
init scripts, in particular for ssh console access. Users will be
able to update their partition either through the "ipkg" command
or through direct copy on their GNU/Linux host (useful for
debugging modules).
Have a nice day!
:-)
Michael.
