Hi,
console=ttyS2,115200n8 does not work for me... i have tried other
baudrates, but to no avail... whenever i set the console=ttyS2 it does
not start, i have tried with framebuffer/console on, but it hangs before
fb is initialized... and it does not seem to send anything, as i could
not the IR blinking with my camera.
Danny Norging described in the "irda on the ipaq shell WORKING" thread
the following setup:
(using this, i am able to get a login via ir. (NOTE: i do NOT see the
boot console, communication starts, when linuxrc is executed...))
on workstation:
- stop irda service
- stop all ir* modules
- start minicom with this configuration:
Serial Device /dev/ttyS1
Bps/par/Bits 9600 8N1
Hardware Flow Control No
Software Flow Control No
in initrd: (using andrews initrd kit)
- remove .initrd/dev/console
- mknod .initrd/dev/console c 4 66
now use this new initrd and when the linuxrc is executed, i see the
output in minicom
Cheers, Patty
