after I dropped the IrDA dongle I had, because it wasn't SIR but FIR,
I did a standard exchange with a bluetooth dongle.

Unfortunately supported only in kernel 2.6.2 I believe, I used it
between h2210 and win98. I get at best ~34kbytes per sec using
ftp over activesync, which is a serial interface somehow. It
does match your 265kbps I think.

My guess is that it's a h2210's limitation.
I think there's a website 'bluez' something regarding bluetooth
under linux. They may have an explaination there.
