So, if I understand well, what we could do is:

    * Rename include/asm-arm/arch-pxa/h2200-asic.h to
      include/asm-arm/hardware/ipaq-hamcop.h . . Though similar, both
      asics have different register addresses.
          o Rename "H2200" settings to "HAMCOP"
    * The new include/asm-arm/arch-pxa/h2200-asic.h would include this
      new file, plus h2200 specific definitions if needed.
    * Copy arch/arm/common/ipaq/samcop_* to
      arch/arm/common/ipaq/hamcop_*. I've looked for a way of sharing
      code instead of copying it, but these files include h5400 specific
      definitions. This would require making changes to the code used by
      h5400 and coordination between the 2 projects. The problem is our
      changes could break things that work on the h5xxx devices. I guess
      nobody or very few people on this list (except HP guys, of course)
      own both devices for testing. Of course, we will still be able to
      follow their future changes and vice-versa. What do you think?
    * arch/arm/mach-pxa/h2200.c: replace "samcop" instances by "hamcop"
      and reuse as much as we can from h5400.c. Note that most of this
      has already been done as h2200.c was created from h5400.c.

What do you think?

Alain, do you have time for this? As far as I am concerned, I also have
time, and it's a quite urgent task. I can make the initial changes (once
we agree on them) and let you review them...
