Piece of code executing from ROM

Okay, I have some code now executing from ROM, turning off the watchdog
timer, and spitting info out over serial. Cool. It is in module
debrick/hamcop, file debrick.S.

I can't seem to read in over serial. (The input function I wrote,
in_char, always waits til timeout, then returns) Can someone take a look
and see if I'm doign something obviously stupid?
