Okay, I added functionatlity to the kernel so that you can compile the
LAB CLI in without having to also compile in the assembly bootstrap, and
I've found that the system is quite stable like that. That makes it
sound to me like bootldr-xscale.S is what's setting something up wrong
and causing corruption. I'm going to take the cat outside, but when I
get back, I'll try it.
