Re: CFboot images

Hello,

I can consistently reproduce your behavior (haret pinging goes dark and
hangs) in the following configuration: the cable is plugged, the
terminal program on the host side running but /dev/ttyS0 is not properly
initialized. In my case it happens when the PC is freshly rebooted (i.e.
the default values are restored) and I'm using
"socat - /dev/ttyS0,b115200". In this case I have exactly the same
behavior as you.

But everything is ok in all other configurations:
- if I boot serial line unplugged
- if I boot plugged but don't run terminal program on the host at all
- if I boot plugged and use minicom initialized as described in the
HOWTO
- after minicom initializes /dev/ttyS0 once, I may use socat since it
keeps the line settings

It should be possible to run socat from the beginning finding the socat
syntax for the right line setting. I will try it later (should go to
work now ...)

Hope it helps
Vadim
