It doesn't have to be Volts, it can be miliVolt or deciVolt. But my
ipaq has a 3.7V 900mAh battery. My guess is that the charger measures
the voltagedifference between the chargerpins, which are protected
against reverseconnecting by a diode. A diode typically has a voltage
drop of 0.6 Volt[1]. Adding the 3.7V and the 0.6V gives me 4.3V. This
leads me to believe that the ipaq measures the voltage in steps of
1/100 V. These three years of studying EE are paying off :).
