Isn't the initrd's job just to mount rootfs from NFS or maybe CF, execute
pivot_root to change the root file system and /sbin/init on the rootfs to
start real boot? So I think that initrd can be very basic, just to make
these job. Of course kernel and module versions must be compatible with real
rootfs. Or am I wrong?
