Gday All,
isn't it also undesirable to use CF as a constantly used medium?
(eg. a swap file) as the card wears out .... or is old stuff only?
(I think my Sandisk stuff has lifetime warranty so I don't know how
they work that one out and still make $ !!!)
ps. Having a rootfs in ram is necessary to allow hotplug isnt it?
   (of other devices)
pps. Isnt ram massively faster?
(I've noticed huge differences in transfer rates by copying my
bootup files and rootfs into ram (My Documents) and booting from
there (> 1/3 success rate and much faster execution)
