CF Card Cluster Size: 2KB vs 8 KB ?

Hi List,

By default my 2 cards (Sandisk and Ridata) have a
cluster size of 2 KB.

I copy the whole Linux pack (initrd, zImage,rootfs) in
my CF card and did not work I try a few times and same
results.

So what I decide to do is reformatted my CF card with
a Cluster Size of 8KB and copy again the whole linux
pack (initrd, zImage,rootfs) this time I was able to
boot :0)

Any idea why with 8KB I don't have any problem to boot
from CF and with 2KB I could not?
