This way we can easily update the rootfs, even from windows and when I
want I can create more space for photo's by deleting one file. The main
idea was that you can still use your CF-card with other devices like
cameras and don't have to do any partitioning.

Some stuff needed for that (pcmcia) works a lot better as a module, so
that forces us to use a initrd.
