Dany is right, you can use this script. You got these errors because you
copied too many files, exceeding available space (our initrd is only a 2
MB filesystem).
I will add this to our kernel wiki page. Thanks for having stubbled on
this! ;-)
You know an initrd is just supposed to contain the minimum modules to
start a system. For example, on your desktop GNU/Linux system, the
initrd file will mainly contain an ext3 module (if you're using ext3),
so that the kernel is able to mount your root partition and then load
more modules.
By the way, for the moment, you should only try with the files related
to the 2.6.6 kernel, as all issues with 2.6.7-hh0 are not sorted out yet
(see http://handhelds.org/~michaelo/ipaq/starterkit/ChangeLog). In a
nutshell, you shouldn't use the _jul25 files and use the
http://handhelds.org/~michaelo/ipaq/kernel/linux-2.6.6-hh0.tar.bz2
kernel sources.
Don't hesitate to get back to us with more questions!
Welcome to the team!
:-)
Michael.
