This still doesn't work even with huge buffer sizes. See my logread output:
http://opdenacker.org/issues/ogg123_jun29_2004/logread.txt

Here what happens exactly when (and only when) the sound "jumps"

May 2 07:39:41 (none) syslog.warn klogd: audio_stop_dma: dma stopped
May 2 07:39:41 (none) syslog.warn klogd: audio_dma_irq: DSADR 0xa39973e0
May 2 07:39:41 (none) syslog.warn klogd: snd_card_pxa_uda1380_playback_prepare: preparing playback
May 2 07:39:41 (none) syslog.warn klogd: set_samplerate rate: 44100
...

Though it could be ogg123's fault (being too cpu intensive, for example), perhaps some of these issues can be addressed in the driver. Don't hesitate to ask me if you need more information and/or trials.

Done. I also found that the sound jumps all the more often as the
bitrate is high.

As far as I remember, that's fairly easy:

   1. Add the toolchain to your path
   2. Add `--host=arm-linux' to configure options.

Anyway, we can try to address this need soon through OpenEmbedded...

:-)
