Thanks! That's right that xtscal works fine.

However, what's the file GPE (or the X server) uses to find calibration
data? Is it still xcalibrate.conf?

So far, I copied the output of xtscal to xcalibrate.conf and the results
are still far from being all right. I'm using gpe's sketch application
to make my tests. Except on the left hand side of the screen where the
error is pretty small, the average error is still roughly of 10-20 pixels.

However, I still need to check the transform that is applied by GPE, to
make sure it's an affine transform as required by Lau's formulas.
