Hi
First of all, it is a really great job you have done so far. I've bought an
IPAQ 2200 several weeks ago, and I am really looking forward to use linux
with it - I have enjoyed every single process you guys made in the last two
weeks.
Like Benny Simonsen, I had troubles mounting my microdrive using kernel,
initrd and rootfs published at http://michaelo.free.fr/pda/ipaq/starterkit/ :
while trying to access /dev/hda (via fdisk or cat or whatever) it says no
such device (although ide (major 3) appeared in /proc/devices).
After reviewing your mailings, I replaced the kernel and initrd with Alain's
versions at http://alain2210.free.fr - Using this kernel, the micro drive
could be found and it can be mounted without problems. Even the pcmcia
automounting stuff works. Unfortunalty, this kernel version does not include
all the work you have done since mid of april.
So, would you, Alain provide us with the config file for the kernel that works
fine with storage cards? If you have done some changes to the kernel itsself,
is it possible to publish these?
Perhaps it is possible to change the kernel, and initrd of the starterkit, to
be able to access CF storage cards.
Sincerly,
Daniel, who has only dial-up internet at the moment :(
