Hi Folks,
For those who are in Europe, this could be a good opportunity to meet
for real!
We could even try Koen's beer if he comes (and has free space in his
luggage)
;-)

Hello,
It would be great if handhelds.org could be present in LSM 2004 (Libre
Software Meeting) next July in Bordeaux, France
(http://lsm.abul.org/rubrique2.html... the website is not ready yet), as
it was last year in Metz.
This is a very nice event about Free Software, which attracts now up to
1000 people, mostly from Europe. There are guest speakers from all over
the world, mainly from Europe, the US and French speaking Africa. Lots
of different topics are addressed, such as programming, education,
medicine, legal issues, security, etc., and it's a great place to learn,
to get new ideas and above all to meet very interesting people.
So, what about having a 2h session about handhelds.org? We could
introduce and demonstrate key projects like Opie, GPE, Familiar and
OpenEmbedded, and answer questions from the audience.
I think we really need to attract more users and contributors, and this
event is a great opportunity. For example, Oliver did a great
demonstration on Opie last year in Metz and recruited me this way.
:-)
What do you think? I'll be in Bordeaux anyway...
Cheers,
Michael.
