Hi Alain,
With Zecke's help, I could trigger Opie's calibration (you just need to
remove the /etc/pointercal file before running /etc/init.d/opie), and
could see that the touchscreen works pretty well now! Congratulations...
you did a great job!
Actually, you hardly notice any issue, and can even start playing the
killer game:

If touchscreen had been crap, I would have exploded immediatly!
Actually, playing this game could be good to practise for you, to
complete fine tuning of touchscreen settings. You will notice that there
are still a few issues in this game. Clicking on one box is sometimes
recognized as clicking on the one next to it. That's not minor in this
game, but doesn't have too much impact anywhere else (I haven't tried
Opie's handwriting yet, but I had no issues with Opie's Multikey on
screen keyboard).
When you've eliminated any issue with this game, you're through and the
touchscreen driver can be considered as safe!
I will try with GPE soon.
In the meantime, I encourage everyone in this list to try by yourself
with Opie (instructions are on
http://www.handhelds.org/z/wiki/HpIpaqH2200ssh as usual... just wait for
1/2 h until the upload of my latest rootfs is complete). It's a great
experience!
Thanks again!
:-)
Michael.
