That's i2c + lmsensors (two separate packages). (not 12c)
Try freshmeat. It actually comes with most distros these days (AFAIK)
You'll need a kernel source tree for the machine in question.

(a bit like the way pcmcia works).. and built from there.
However, like pcmcia, there are some i2c functions now in the kernel
itself. Once you have the modules produced from a make,
you then run sensors-detect (part of lmsensors AFAIK) which
will tell you which options to include in modules.conf, etc.
You can set up cron-jobs to do system checks, there are sensors
plugins available for just about everything (inc gkrellm ...
the most amazy system monitor known to man (and woman;)).
Gkrellm (AFAIK) also has the ability to be setup as a server (somehow)
so that you can monitor the intimate details of all your remote machines.
btw: how good is your high frequency hearing? Can you hear any changes?

OK fair enough.
How about slowing your memory timing down, set your disks to a PIO mode in
BIOS, and pass nodma at boot-time (or is it dma=off?).
Ah, hang on... does that mobo have twinbank ability?
dm ... I'll have a look around for info on that mobo,
and then a bit of a think....

You're welcome.
I cant promise that I can give you an answer, or even anything intelligent,
but something I say might give you ideas :)
(Apart from disabling my KCI;)
