List Announcement

Gday all!

I'm attempting to assist in the development of Linux on the HP Ipaq
2210/2215. This is my first post to the new list; hopefully the first of
many.

If you have just subscribed to this list please feel welcome to post a
'hello' to let us know you're out there, even if you don't plan on
contributing. Think of it as a postcard without the picture ;)

My two-cents-worth about this list:

My belief is that anyone with an h221x question be treated with the
courtesy of a civil (even friendly:) reply. That being said, if nobody
knows an answer it may be sometime before somebody on the list is brave
enough to admit ignorance (as they too may be waiting for an answer for the
same problem), so please don't take a lack of reply as a sign of being
ignored (even if you are of an impatient nature :).

Having read a few emails over time, on various lists, I've come to
appreciate the value of message threads (particularly for archival purposes
... and an email client that displays threads well). I would be grateful if
subject lines were not changed while the issue is still being discussed (I
guess appendages every now and then wouldn't hurt eg. "PROBLEM SOLVED":)

Now that this list is up cc's to me are normally not necessary, however
please feel welcome to include me if you think I may be interested or able
to comment. Please be aware that my default policy is to cc all
handheld-related private mails back to the list(s). However, I am
programmable :) Just warn me in your mail if you wish otherwise.
