Uh, same here. At least python used to work on previous releases with
familiar 0.8.2 packages.

Now I've tried removing and installing the 0.8.2 packages and it doesn't
work :!( weird...

Ext3 would stress the sd card. The card sectors have a limited
reads/writes lifetime. Ext3 journaling writes a lot of things on the same
sectors periodically. So it's bad for sd cards and flash-based devices.

You can also use the opie-vmemo applet to make a swap file. Uh... It seems
to be broken on this release. The applet doesn't appears.
