Hi! I've also installed the new version (I've been stuck on an old version
for a while).

I did too.

Same here. I've also noticed an Oops in the bluetooth modules. I don't
know if that's related, but ayway here's a wider output from my device:

This is a new issue. The older version i've been using until now worked ok
in here.

I don't think this may be treated as an issue. I can't figure out why
would you want a restricted user on an embedded device. Logging out from
Opie would left you in the console, so it has not too much sense, I
think. If you have an ssh connection to the pda you can restart opie, so
it's not a hang. Perhaps there's a graphical session manager you can
install?

Mplayer has no graphical interface. It only works if you go through the
file manager and then open a video file. Xvid and divx video with mp3
audio avi file should work. Please resize them to a reasonable size
(160x120 or so).

Opie media player always tends to crash. I've only been able to play some
ogg files in older versions, so perhaps you want to install xmms. It
isn't the greatest app of the world, but does the job.

Familiar repos should work. I've installed some games and apps from there
(vim, python...) and they work ok. Notice that opie version from familiar
isn't the same as the one in the aquadran repos, so perhaps you should be
careful.
