iPaq 1910 reset does not work ?

Hi, I successfully installed and ran linux port from an SD on a h1910. However when I suspend or shutdown the device it 'bricks'. There's no way to make bring to life again, it even seems that it is not recharging (the light on top does not blink when in socket). When I wait couple of days, it is alive again. Any clues what I need to do to make it work as expected (suspend suspends it and does not make it unusable for a week)?
