Hello,
I have been trying to follow the instructions for booting into Opie
from the WinCE loader file. So far without success.
The iPAQ is an h1910, with a 512MB SD/MMC.
1) I have formatted the sd card.
2) I then installed the distro image and copied the Opie distro to the
SD card
--- It is possibly here that things go wrong, because I do get the
"Kernel panic - not syncing" message, but just before there is a tar
error in the output - unable to decompress file ---
3) When booting from WinCE, I get a either a white screen, or an error
message "iPAQ191x_Linux is not a valid program"
Sorry if the messages are not exactly as they are displayed, I am
writing this from memory.
I use the FAT-formatted SD card to store the various files so that I do
not have to transfer them each time I reset the iPAQ.
Does anyone know what the problem may be ?
