I figured out how to mount my SD card using a card reader... I changed to
using Mandriva 2006 instead of Debian 3.1 on my pc, and everything is fixed
with that...

How do I configure synce to connect to the ipaq?
I know you use synce-configure or something like that... but what device do
I tell it to listen to? Usb0?

are you sure safety removed card from PDA ? if you use async mode
(default) for mounted rootfs on PDA you need first flush buffers before
remove card.
