Linux on h1945

I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing, so if this is the wrong address
you'll have to excuse me. I've never used a mailing list before, I'm an
IRC guy.
I own an h1945 and I am wandering if there is an early release of
familiar for it. I have seen the wiki(s) and been to #familiar on
irc.freenode.org and no one knows anything about my device...
I downloaded several files and got to the terminal via HaRET, but my
infrared keyboard isn't working and I don't think that supports my
network card either. On top of that, I cannot turn it off without it
resetting to wince. I'm not the only one having these problems, maybe
there is no way around them yet, but if there are simple solutions to
any of these I would appreciate assistance.
I am less experienced as a linux user than the gurus who are probably
reading this. I was hoping to have more time to learn about linux by
using it away from home but it doesn't look like it'll be that easy. I
do know my way around some of linux, and have a all but mastered Damn
Small Linux, and have access to a Fedora 3 box. (although neither have
SynCE installed yet)
If I can get familiar working I plan to develop games for it, so it
would help you to help me. :) I know C++ and one of these days I'm
probably looking up assembly. I currently have a wince gcc port ON my
iPAQ, so I hope I won't have to cross-compile everything when I move to
familiar.
