Sorry, I wasn't very clear on that but linux booted fine, optie booted and works
great, except that I can't establish a connection to my pc, and the above
message refere to that.
I just mentioned the white screen, since it confused me, the first time during
the installation I went doing something else and I assumed something went wrong,
  the second time I saw that it finished extracting the archive so I assumed
everything went fine.
