here's what I've accomplished so far:
I am able to edit initrd now, so I have now added missing files.
I reconpiled my FC3 kernel, yet again... but this time I added ALL of
the USB Gadget options as modules... now I can connect to my ipaq using
minicom...loads usbserial for a driver
dmesg:
usb 3-1.4: new full speed USB device using address 8
usbserial_generic 3-1.4:2.0: Generic converter detected
usb 3-1.4: Generic converter now attached to ttyUSB0
usb 3-1.4: control timeout on ep0in
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices:
T: Bus=03 Lev=02 Prnt=02 Port=03 Cnt=02 Dev#= 8 Spd=12 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=16 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=0525 ProdID=a4a6 Rev= 0.01
S: Manufacturer=Linux 2.6.3-hh2 with pxa2xx
S: Product=Gadget Serial
S: SerialNumber=0
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 2 Atr=c0 MxPwr=100mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=00 Prot=00
Driver=usbserial_generic
E: Ad=81(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=02(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms
So as you can see, I am now able to comunicate using minicom to the 2.6
ipaq...
NEW PROBLEM: I can't seem to get minicom configured right, or maybe I'm
still missing files in my initrd... when I type anything in the minicom
when connected to the ipaq... the only thing the ipaq responds to is me
pressing enter... and the only thing it does is print the following on
the ipaq screen:
as_recv_packet: port=0, NULL tty pointer
Anyone have any idea what might be going on?
