RE: New Problem

I looked at the 1940 instructions and could not get anything new from them,
since they provide an already made initrd, and the fact that they talk about
using the USB Gadget Ether, and NOT the USB Gadget Serial.

Ergo, new question:

Since I was able to compile a 2.6 kernel for the 1910, how do I go about
making an initrd to go along with it??

I think I should start there, just to make sure all the needed files are in
the filesystem when I boot it up... currently I'm getting a lot of "file not
found" errors when the ipaq boots up...

I think that once I get the ipaq running 2.6 ok, I can start working on
getting it to talk to my PC....

Anyone have any clues for me?

Your on the wrong track here.
USB networking is not symmetrical.
If you use usb-gadget on the IPAQ, you use conventional
modprobe usbnet (which works with a usbhost chip)
on the PC.

On FC3, this works right out of the box.
Check out this link for detailed instructions for an h1940 which you
can easily modify for your situation ...

Should you need to build your PC kernel,
the rpms are on the FC3 source CDs which you download separately
the work with the command rpmbuild -rebuild kernel-XXXX.src.rpm
