I am sorry to report EXACTLY the same problem.
I followed both document, including hint from WIKI on how to modify the
script
that answer OK to windows when it is sending ATxxx.
I made all the test to see if I could trigger the expected result from
hyperterminal.
Then I ask Win2K for log trying to identify what was the discution on the
serial.
NO WAY.
My solution was to install a Linux to do it (and I am pretty happy with it).
