802.11 networking not working

Just installed Familiar 0.4 on my iPaq. Installation
seemed to go okay, but I can't get networking to
function.

A Xircom CBE2-100 and a 3Com 575CT don't cause any
reaction on the pcmcia subsystem. Plug them in and
nothing happens. Nothing in /proc/kmsg.

Have an Orinoco and a Linksys gateway. With DHCP
enabled (encryption disabled), I don't get an IP
address. If I use a static IP address, I can ping
between the iPaq and a Windows laptop also on the
802.11, but I can't ping my Linksys.

I'm running out of ideas. Any suggestions?
