IrDA / Deep sleep

Has any progress been made on the problem of IrDA being stiffed after deep
sleeping the iPAQ? I deep sleep mine all the time, but I'd like to start
using IrDA to sync it at home. :)

(If anyone has any info, could they CC to me directly, since I just get the
digest and sometimes miss replys...?)
