You need an IBM microdrive or an external NFS share.

Then you can need a native compiler, that is ARM and compiles for ARM.
Maybe from www.embedian.org. After this prereq has been met, you can
directly compile.

Somehow I have the feeling that my 800 MHz Athlon is faster then the
206 StrongARM when it comes to compilations ... but I have no
benchmarks.
