Hi I have Just Run Ipkg Update and then ipkg upgrade
Part Way through the upgrade I got a error saying kmod could not
insmod the irda0 module and the Ipaq crashed
on reboot I get

VFS: Mounted root (jffs2 filesystem).
Mounted devfs on /dev
Freeing init memory: 68K
Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

MY Linuxargs are

boot> show linuxargs
>> Compaq OHH BootLoader, Rev 2-18-44 [BIG_KERNEL] [MD5] [MONO]
>> Last link date: Wed May 8 18:43:07 EDT 2002
>> Contact: bootldr@handhelds.org
  linuxargs= < noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock1 init=/linuxrc
console=ttySA0>
boot>

i have tried setting linuxargs init part to
init=/bin/sh
init=/bin/ash
init=/bin/bash
init=1

on each reboot I get the same message about passing the init option
I have tried params reset, params save does not work
i can ls the above files ( in the bootloader )they are there
but there is no ls option to see how big the files are ...

ANY Suggestoions GREATFULLY RECIEVED
