"Q" to Dual Boot and nothing happens

Hi,

I bought a CF to PC CARD adapter and followed the "BootingLinuxFromCF"
"Experiences with Dual Booting PPC2002 and Linux" from the wiki.

I think I didn't make any "obvious" error (I've been in Linux for about 5
years...)
I created 2 partitions. One FAT16 (actually I also tested VFAT) with a boot
directory with the (unzipped) initrd, params and zImage and another ext3
partition with the untared (with -p option) familiar fs...

I toke this way to try linux because I don't own a serial cable.

The bootloader is 2.18.42.

The problem is that when I run the bootloader and press "Q", nothing happens.
I see a graphical bootloader and close to the "Q" button I can read "Boot
VFAT HDD/CF"

Is it a problem with the bootloader?
Any idea?

The CF is a 256 MB Kingston.

Partition 1 (hde1) is a 8MB vfat (also tested fat16) and 2 (hde2) is ext3
filling the rest of the card.

Thanks guys!

JL
