Need help w/ "load bootldr"

  Hi,
  
    I am trying to install familiar v0.4 on a Compaq IPaq and having
  trouble executing the step where I do "load bootldr".
  
  I have successfully completed steps 1 through 9 on
  
  ftp://ftp.handhelds.org/pub/linux/dists/compaq/ipaq/stable/install.html
  
  I am now using minicom (under Linux) to connect to the iPaq.
  I am using the recommended communication settings 115200 8N1
  and no flow control and can see the "boot>" prompt in the
  minicom window.
  
  After typing "load bootldr" at the boot prompt, I initiate
  a file "send" using xmodem for bootldr-0000-2.14.8 and that's
  where I see a whole bunch of error messages ending in
  "NAK on sector" and the transfer fails.
  
  I am not very familiar with minicom. Can you help?
