I'm not using familiar yet, but I do have an observation.
I use rsync all the time without rsh. I use it with rsync
-e ssh. rsh is considered a security risk and is not
installed by default on many systems, including debian.
Does familiar have ssh? If so, why not default rsync to '-e
ssh'.
