 In addition to loading the kernel and modules for 2.4.4-rmk3-np1-demo
or 2.4.6-rmk1-np2-hh2 or later, you have to load the hotplug package
available from the CRLDemoFeed? in
ftp://lorien.handhelds.org/pub/linux/feeds/demo/
