Just thought I'd add to the power management discussion, about the behavior
of the battery in the PCMCIA sleeve. I find that my iPAQ drains in about 12
hr while sleeping, including when it is attached to the PCMCIA sleeve. When
it is drained and the sleeve is not attached, and the sleeve should be fully
charged, connecting the iPAQ to the sleeve does not power up the iPAQ.
In other words, it appears that the iPAQ doesn't make use of the sleeve power.
I would guess that the PCMCIA card in the sleeve does, but I don't see how
I can be sure of that, when I can't tell if the sleeve has been drained of
power.
