Help, pflash 0 0xffff 1 Fails

Hey,
  I am trying to install Familiar 0.4 on my iPAQ and "pflash 0 0xffff 1"
fails to protect the bootldr flash sector. "qflash 2" shows "value =
00000000". What can I do?

Here is what has happened so far...

This is the second time around loading familiar 0.4 up. The first time
around I had no problems at all and was able to restore back to CE
without a problem.
