1) reload the bootldr
2) don't forget step 15, which is to reset the iPAQ. Push the recessed
reset button at the lower left of the iPAQ. If it's in a cradle, you'll
have to take it out of the cradle to do so.
3) now do 'qflash 2', which should return 00010001. You should not need
to do the pflash command.

Subject: [Familiar] help pflash & qflash output don't agree with
instructions

Hi folks,

Help, I am following the installation instructions under v0.40 and
have successfully uploaded the "bootldr-0000-2.14.5-bigkernel-
mono" to my H3660 iPaq (I had checked the md5sum for the
bootldr beforehand and it was ok)

I can repeat the pflash and qflash sequences and it does seem to
not protect it as the notes suggest uit should.

When I type pflash I get the following: (what do I do next?)
boot> pflash 0 0xffff 1
  addr=00000000
  len=0000FFFF
  protect=00000001
Protecting sector 00000000
boot> pflash 0 0xffff 1
  addr=00000000
  len=0000FFFF
  protect=00000001
Protecting sector 00000000
boot> qflash 2
value = 00000000
boot>

-------------- The log of the actual upload and all was as follows:
