Hello folks,

I got H3660 (Japanized-one) today and got a problem with install process
of Familiar. If some of you know how to get through, please help me.

First, let me introduce what I did.

1. backup and installation of bootldr.

  I used osloader-1.3.0.exe to make a backup of CE image,
  and after that I installed bootldr-0000-2.14.8. It seems to work
  properly.

2. setting up bootldr's Parameters (from installation note)

  The problem is here. I put all the script of the terminal.
Perdon me for that long message. ( I edit the lines a bit for readablity)

boot> peek flash 0x20

  addr = 00000020
  value = 646C7462

boot> set linuxargs "noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock/3 init=/linuxrc
      console=ttySA0"

  setting param=linuxargs to value=noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock/3 init=/linuxrc console=ttySA0

boot> set copy_ramdisk 0x0
  setting param=copy_ramdisk to value=0x0

boot> set baudrate 115200

 setting param=baudrate to value=115200
 update_baudrate: new baudrate=0001C200
 baudrate changed to 0x0001C200

boot> partition reset

argv[1]=partition
defining partiton: bootldr
defining partiton: params
defining partiton: kernel

boot> partition define kernel 0x80000 0x80000 0

argv[1]=partition
defining partiton: kernel

boot> partition define root 0x100000 0x1f00000 16

argv[1]=partition
defining partiton: root
boot> params save
bootldr: set linuxargs "noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock/3 init=/linuxrc console=ttyS
A0"

programming flash...erasing ...
Erasing sector 00040000
eraseSector error
  sectorAddress=00040000
  flashContents=EA00FFFF
  status=00A20080
  timeout=012EB0C7
erase error!

  Jacob asked almost same question on June 7 and I found
the answer from a compaq folk(Jamey) is

> Please reset the ipaq and try again. If it still fails, then erase the
> params sector manually:
> With bootldr 2.14.8:
> eflash params
> with earlier bootldr's:
> eflash 0x40000
> and then try saving the parameters.

  I tried twice. Even I cut off the main battery switch but the error
persists, with same status/timeout result code.

  It is a bit more than a paperweight (I can boot it as long as I type
all the scripts to set up params again), but it is awfully unpractical.
If anyone who know how to deal with the case, please help us.

Thanks and best regards,
