The japanese model comes with 32mb of flash (that's all the ipaq can
handle), but I don't have connections to Japan, so I can't get one from
over there. I'd suppose that all the Asia/Pasific ones (jp, tw, china)
come with 32mb of flash.

You would need to soldir jtag eqipment to the ipaq, or flash the chips
befor installing them. Somehow you must get the bootloader into flash.
