help! how can xmodem knows where the file is?

Hi all,

I am totally new to this ipaq.
Please forgive me if this question is too stupid...

I tried to follow every step described on the
ftp://ftp.handhelds.org/pub/linux/compaq/ipaq/stable/install.html

My question is, where should I put the bootldr-0000-2.14.8 for the
xmodem to download? Or say, how can xmodem knows where the file is?

boot> load bootldr
loading flash region bootldr
using xmodem
ready for xmodem download..
...................TIMEOUT
Download Failed!
download error. aborting.
