I've this problem frequentliy with my Mandrake (form the downloadable
isos, nothing updated) setup. One of this usually helps:
- remove ipaq from cradle, reload usbnet driver, put ipaq back on cradle
- unconfigure usbf on ipaq, unload all usb drivers, reload usb drivers,
  reconfigure usbf

I'm still not sure, wether it's a problem with the driver, or the VIA
USB host on my mainboard (I'm able to kill my box with heavy traffic
over USB net (e.g. copy gcc-3.0 sources from pc(nfs) to ipaq(microdrive)).
