Of course I've done the following actions
1. put off the craddle
2. hold the joypad center
3. press reset
4. after 2-3 seconds stop holding the joypad center.
5. put it back in the craddle
CAUTION : It is DEAD after Loading bootldr 2.18.01 from within boot> load

Amber light is :
Off : always off when out of cradle
Blinking : blinking the first 10-15 seconds I put it in the cradle
On : always on after 10-15 seconds I put it in the cradle
AC adapter is (and were) attached and OK.
Batteries has been full cherged before do the bootloader operations.
Of course I've done the following actions
1. put off the craddle
2. hold the joypad center
3. press reset
4. after 2-3 seconds stop holding the joypad center.
5. put it back in the craddle
