Problem with USB Help

I am Running Familiar 0.41
I have Followed the Instructions on The Wiki page

when I load the usbnet driver in Mandrake 8 I don't get a Usb device
showing with ifconfig -a

and i get a usb address refused on the Mandrake 8 console ...
all the info on the ipaq looks ok ...
