I recommend Redhat Source-Navigator ( http://sources.redhat.com/sourcenav/ )
and GVD ( http://libre.act-europe.fr/gvd/ ).

I tried several IDEs and debuggers. I cling to SN cos it's the only one with
a very good symbol browser. That point is necessary when working with open
source software.

GVD is a bit better than DDD.
