create a user? ssh config? editors other than vi?

Hi all,

I just bought my iPaq a few days ago, and install familar yesterday. All
went well.

I do have a few questions:

How do you create another user? adduser, and useradd commands do not work.
Does everyone log in as just root?

I seem to have an error when trying to ssh into or out of the iPaq, the
system keeps asking me y/n to accept the RSA key. I say yes, and it just
keeps asking over and over.

also, any suggestions for a console editor other than vi? anything more
like pico?

Is there an easy way to find out the available memory to each "partition"

Sorry for the newbish questions.

The familir distribution is great, so easy to install and get a wireless
oronico card going.

Thanks and glad to now have a neat wireless iPaq with Linux.
