Why can't I load bootloader to my IPAQ by minicom?

Hi all,

  Sorry if this question is silly.

  I have a iPAQ with Compaq OHH bootloader, Rev 02.0A.04. And now i would
like to install the bootldr-000-2.14.5-bigkernel-mono. I have the boot
image at /root/familiar0.4/.../H3600/. I use minicom to upload the
boot image. However, what i get is:

loading flash region bootldr
using modem
ready for xmodem download..
....................TIMEOUT
Download Failed!
download error. aborting.
boot>
--------------------

Why? Is there any thing I did wrong? Thanks.
